Join our team in this new role and help ensure the smooth running of our arts charity as we deliver an exciting programme of festivals and a wide range of artistic and consultancy projects throughout the year.

As an inclusive arts and cultural charity based in Leicester, we are dedicated to connecting cultures through extraordinary art. We do this by commissioning bold, ambitious art and festivals that bring people together.

The Operations and Finance Manager oversees all operational and office management at Art Reach, with a particular focus on reporting, grant monitoring, evaluation, HR, contracting, and board facilitation. This role ensures that all operational and financial administration is delivered effectively across the organisation.

We currently operate a hybrid/flexible working policy where 50% of working hours can be spent working from home and 50% of working hours can be based in the office in any month.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 22 October at LCB Depot, Rutland Street, Leicester, LE1 1RE.

Job Requirements

Job requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience of working in an arts organisation or charity
  • Experience of preparing budgets and recording/monitoring of finances for management accounts
  • Experience of office management
  • Experience of working with accounting software or keeping accounting records
  • Experience of reporting to funders such as Arts Council England or other National Lottery Funders.
  • Experience of working with a board or management committee
  • Experience in supporting the preparation of funding bids, including writing or preparing budgets
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data
  • Proven passion for and commitment to diversity in the workplace

Job Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain an effective Art Reach office base
  • Overview, review and management of implementation of the company policies, systems and procedures that support the Art Reach business
  • Ensuring Art Reach meets its duties under relevant legislation and with regard to annual returns for the Charities Commission, Companies House and other relevant organisations.
  • Ensure financial systems for petty cash, purchase orders, credit card use, invoicing, and record keeping are appropriate and are effectively implemented.
  • Administer all financial systems
  • Maintain (and develop when needed as new) financial record systems
  • Action and administer recruitment processes, issue contracts for all staff and freelance workers, maintain HR records
  • Provide support to clients on grant management advice guidance, including preparing draft submissions for funders on their behalf
