Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £29,928.00 per annum

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone who has experience in both selling and coordinating events, preferably within a conference, banqueting, or unique venue setting. Essential skills include strong knowledge of booking portals, CRM systems, and proficiency in drafting documents, alongside excellent customer service, communication, diplomacy, and presentation abilities. Confidence in client facing environments, a professional telephone manner, commercial acumen, and the ability to take initiative are also key. Desirable qualities that may set candidates apart include experience in a producing theatre or charitable environment, familiarity with Events 500, and AV expertise within events.

Job Responsibilities

The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients and staff, and contributing to UVB's commercial targets. Responsibilities include handling enquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, conducting venue show rounds, coordinating event logistics such as catering and equipment, maintaining databases and financial records, and maximising upselling opportunities.

In addition, this role works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth event execution, responds to feedback, and upholds company policies on equality, diversity, health and safety, and data protection. By combining sales, administration, and customer service, the position supports UVB's business plan, drives new income opportunities, and ensures the successful delivery of high quality events.
