Job Summary

Temporary role working as a Fair Assistant for the Battersea Autumn Affordable Art Fair in October 2026.

Job Description

The Company

Affordable Art Fair has revolutionised and democratised the art market with its fun and welcoming approach. Founded in 1999 by Will Ramsay with the aim of making buying art accessible to all, it is now one of the largest art businesses globally, with fairs in 13 cities around the world, including three a year in London's Battersea Park and Hampstead Heath. Each fair offers something unique, with over 100 handpicked local, national, and international galleries showcasing 1,000s of contemporary artworks in all styles and mediums. With special installations and commissions, Late nights, family hour and more, there's something for every art lover to enjoy. Our fairs are gallery-led, so we only allow galleries and artist collectives to apply and sell with us. We do however work with artists directly for installations and bespoke projects.

We also require a willingness to help out and team-player spirit, as the role is a mixture of jobs including: assisting with the set up and breakdown of the fair, staffing the cloakrooms, clearing the cafe, emptying bins, setting up the bars and bartending, maintaining safe queuing procedures, scanning pre-booked tickets and supporting with on-site sales, flyer distributing, working with our VIP clients, acting as front-of-house and any other duties as appropriate.
